Backing up data locally
After you create a local backup set, you can run the backup at any time. This process runs in the background and does not slow down your system.
To back up data to a local drive:
1.
In the Icon panel, click Backup.
The Backup panel opens.
2.
Select a local backup set from the drop-down box, then click Backup Now.
A pop-up message in the system tray shows the progress of the backup.
The Webroot software saves a compressed data set to the default location (C:\Webroot_Backup) or to a location you specified in the Local Backup wizard. To recover files from this compressed data set, you must use the Restore Now function.
